About the Game
Although the jam lasted for 21 days, I probably spent only about a week actively working on the game from initial concept to completion. Since I’m already familiar with the development workflow of puzzle games, the technical production progressed very smoothly, and the art creation was equally seamless.
Visually, I drew inspiration from Follow the Meaning, while incorporating my own style and reflections; the drawing process itself felt joyful and deeply immersive. The most difficult part turned out to be the story.
Each of my games tends to reflect my personal thoughts during a particular period of my life, and recently I haven’t been in a very good state—after graduating, I’ve struggled to find a job. I don’t particularly like the idea of working, yet being unemployed still makes me anxious. At first, I intended to tell a story directly about this feeling, but later I felt it might come across as overly self-indulgent or meaningless, so I changed the narrative into a story about having a conversation with a friend inside my own mind.
This time, I'm so lucky to have the amazing musician Arthur Underwood to composed the background music, so I hope you enjoy the game! And if you have any questions or suggestions just let me know in the comments!
What is gong on?
The player receives a commission to travel to a small town and locate a specific person. However, the information provided in the request is vague and incomplete. When the player finally finds her, they discover that she has lost all her memories. As the player helps her recover those memories, they also begin to piece together what truly happened.
